NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 03, 2009, the Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety has issued an order.
The order granted a variance from Rules 2.7.4 and 3.11.3, A17.3, 1996 which require restricted door openings and Fire Fighter Service Phase 1 and 2 to J. Kent Larson of The Cigar Factory (VW 2009-354).
The petition was granted as the unique construction of the elevator and the fact that it is attendent operated and secured with a key would negate any safety factors the addition of these features would normally provide.
