NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Financial Services, Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Adcomm, Inc. on December 16, 2016. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:

The petition seeks a determination whether Adcomm, Inc., is required to obtain a 2-52 service warranty sales representative license pursuant to section 634.420, Florida Statutes. Adcomm, Inc., operates a call center in Florida, out of which it provides inbound and outbound call center services to its national clients. One such client sells satellite television instillation and programming services and offers an equipment protection plan to its customers. As part of its call center services, Adcomm, Inc., offers the plan to the client’s existing customers using a prepared calling script. The petition was answered: Adcomm, Inc., is required to obtain licensure as a service warranty sales representative because its employees are soliciting service warranty contracts on behalf of Adcomm, Inc.’s, client.
