for  City of Fort Walton Beach – Field Office Complex will be received by Ajax Building Corporation at the following two (2) locations:

1. Ajax Building Corporation, 1080 Commerce Boulevard, Midway, Florida, 32343.
2. City of Fort Walton Beach, City Hall Annex, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32548.

until 2:00 pm Central Standard Time (3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time), on the above referenced date(s).  Bidders may turn in their bid proposal(s) at either bid location.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form enclosed in this package, certified check or cashier's check in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid as guarantee that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into a written contract, satisfactory in form, containing a penalty clause and requiring workers' compensation and public liability insurance and approval of subcontractor by Ajax Building Corporation and shall be prepared to provide Payment and Performance Bonds on the forms enclosed in this bid package to Ajax Building Corporation in the full amount of the contract price within seven (7) days after acceptance.  Bidder must be a licensed Florida Contractor.

The Contract Documents, as defined in Subcontract Agreement form, may be examined at the office of Ajax Building Corporation, 1080 Commerce Boulevard, Midway, Florida, 32343.

Interested bidders may obtain pre-qualification forms by contacting Ajax Building Corporation’s office.  Only bidders meeting pre-qualification criteria may bid.  Bidders must submit a completed experience questionnaire and financial statement on the form entitled "Bidder Qualifications Questionnaire”, incorporated herein by reference.  The subcontractor’s financial condition must demonstrate that adequate fixed and liquid assets and equipment are available to properly perform the Subcontract.

Bid Documents for City of Fort Walton Beach – Field Office Complex are scheduled to be available on 04/04/2018.  A set of Contract Documents will be provided electronically. Bidders may obtain Bid Documents by accessing Ajax Building Corporation’s Procore folder as described in the attached “Instructions for Procore” document. Interested bidders must email Appie Wells, [e-mail] , in order to receive the link for Procore access.

No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of same for a period of sixty (60) days.

Proposals shall be sealed and plainly marked, "Bid", with name of project, bid package number and description, name and address of bidder, time and date due.

If you are unable to physically submit your bid proposal at either of the two (2) locations indicated above, your bid proposal may be submitted via email to [e-mail] prior to the bid closing date and time indicated in the table above. If submitting bids electronically, Ajax Building Corporation must receive the original hard copies of your bid proposal and bid security in our office at 1080 Commerce Boulevard, Midway, Florida, 32343 no later than five (5) business days after bids are due. Note: zip files are not accepted by our email server. If submitting bids via email, do not include any zip files in the attachments. Ajax Building Corporation is not responsible for any bids not received due to rejected emails or emails that have been designated spam by the server.

The Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to waive any and all informalities or irregularities in regard thereto.

Pre-Bid Conferences will be held at the Fort Walton Beach Recreation Center, 132 Jet Drive NW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32548 at the below listed dates and times.  Pre-Bid Conferences are non-mandatory although bidders are encouraged to attend.
