The Board of Optometry hereby gives notice: that on March 1, 2019, an Order was filed on the Petition for Waiver or Variance. The Petition was filed by Robert E. Molter and Kimberly S. Molter, on January 28, 2019, seeking a waiver or variance from Rule 64B13-5.001, F.A.C., regarding the requirement that licensees obtain 2 hours in Florida jurisprudence as part of the 30 CE hours required for biennial license renewal. The Notice was published in Volume 45, No. 21, of the Florida Administrative Register, on January 31, 2019. The Board, at its meeting held on February 8, 2019, voted to deny the Petition for Waiver or Variance as moot, finding that since the Board acted to resolve the issue for all affected out-of-state licensees that the relief sought was no longer necessary.
