NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 17, 2014, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Silver Beach Club. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, Section 3.11.3, 3.11.1a(2) 3.11.1b, 3.10.3b, 3.9.1 and A17.1 1972, Section 101.5b, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations, car emergency signaling devices, normal terminal stopping devices, top of car operating devices and ventilation for machinery and control equipment which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
