NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 6, 2007, the Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition on Rule 61C-5.001, F.A.C., Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators, Moving Walks, Manlifts, Inclined and Vertical Wheelchair Lifts and Inclined Stairway Chairlifts, for an Emergency Variance for ASME A17.1-2004 Chapter 2.27.3.3 from Tim Newton of Schlindler Elevator Corporation. Specifically, the Petitioner requested to not have the key switches enclosed behind a locked door.
