Florida Building CommissionNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Joe Belcher of JDB Code Services, Inc., Dennis Chappell of AWP Windows and Doors, LLC, and David Johns of the Aluminum Association of Florida. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections 553.902, 553.903 and 553.906, F.S. and sections 101.4, 101.4.1, Table 101.4.1 and 402.3.6, Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation 2010 as it applies to the petitioner.
The petitioners ask whether all replacement windows and doors must meet the requirements of 402.3.6, or whether they must meet these requirements only in cases where the cost is sufficient to meet the definition of a “renovation.”
