    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a Public Kick-Off Meeting for the Clearlake Road (SR 501) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study in Brevard County, Florida (FPID: 433605-1-22-01). The purpose of the study is to evaluate the need to widen Clearlake Road from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway. We will also evaluate the need to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety throughout the corridor. The need for these evaluations is based on a projected increase in traffic volume. The study limits extend from south of Michigan Avenue to west of Industry Road, a distance of approximately 1.35 miles.

    Participants may review study information and discuss the study with FDOT staff at any time during the meeting; there will be no formal presentation. This meeting provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the social, natural, cultural and physical impacts of the proposed improvements.
