The Construction Industry Licensing Board hereby gives notice: that on March 20, 2020, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Waiver. The Petition was filed by Jeffery Harris, seeking a Variance or Waiver of Rule 61G4-16.009, Florida Administrative Code, regarding the timeframes that requires that all portions of the exam must be completed in 4 years of the first attempt. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 46, No. 13, on January 21, 2020, in the Florida Administrative Register. The Board, at its meeting held on February 14, 2020, denied the Petition for Variance or Waiver, finding that Petitioner failed to demonstrate a substantial hardship; failed to demonstrate that application of the rule would violate the principles of fairness; and failed to demonstrate that the purpose of the underlying statute had been met.
