The South Florida Water Management District announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Thursday, April 9, 2020, 9:00 a.m. or thereafter during the Monthly Meeting of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board
PLACE: In accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Orders 20-52 and 20-69 and SFWMD Emergency Order 2020-004-DAO, this Public Hearing will be conducted via media technology utilizing a link provided on the District’s website at www.SFWMD.gov/meetings.
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District will hold a Public Hearing to discuss proposed boundary modifications to the District’s Five Year (Florida Forever) Work Plan (Section 373.199, Florida Statutes and Section 373.139(3), Florida Statutes). The proposed modifications move lands from the Cypress Creek Complex Component to the C-23/C-24 South Reservoir Component, all located within the Indian River Lagoon-South, Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project, in St. Lucie County. The boundary modifications also remove lands from the current C-23/C-24 South Reservoir Component.
The public and stakeholders will have an opportunity to view and comment on the Public Hearing by utilizing the Governing Board Monthly Meeting link provided on the District’s website www.SFWMD.gov/meetings, which will go live shortly before 9:00 a.m. on April 9, 2020.
All of this Public Hearing will be conducted via media technology.
The Governing Board may take official action at the meeting on any item appearing on the agenda and on any item that is added to the agenda as a result of a change to the agenda approved by the presiding officer of the meeting pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes.
