    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Physical Therapy Practice has received the petition for declaratory statement from Chris Gellert, PT. The petition seeks the agencys opinion as to the applicability of NO specific statute or rule for which a determination is requested in this petition, as it applies to the petitioner.

    A Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Chris Gellert, PT, on January 30, 2017. Petitioner seeks a declaratory statement regarding the scope of practice for PTAs, asking what are the laws and regulations of PTAs in the state of Florida to use or not use an IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) tool, and asking whether PTAs have the right to use IASTM tools in the state of Florida once they receive formal training. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
