5K-4.034Hemp Extract for Human Consumption
In accordance with subsection 120.74(5), F.S., the Department extends the April 1 deadline to publish the Notice of Proposed Rule for Rule 5K-4.034, F.A.C., Hemp Extract for Human Consumption. A Notice of Rule Development for Rule 5K-4.034, F.A.C., was published in the Florida Administrative Register on August 3, 2023, Vol. 49/150. The purpose of this rulemaking is to implement Chapter 2023-299, Laws of Florida. One public rule development workshop was held on August 23, 2023. The Department is continuing rule development in order to include changes to the rule that will be required should Senate Bill 1698, passed during the 2024 legislative session, become law. The Department is also continuing to receive and to consider information and comments regarding the draft rule language in order to make necessary changes prior to publication of the Notice of Proposed Rule.
