    Lee County MPO requests Letters of Interest from Engineering Firms to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services which are required for contract administration (including but not limited to EEO/DBE/OJT/Davis Bacon compliance oversight, TIGER Grant reporting), inspection, materials sampling and testing and TIGER grant reporting for the construction of various sidewalk, pathway, bike lane, shoulder widening and bus shelter project(s) and associated signage identified in the Lee County Complete Streets Initiative (LCCSI).

    The project(s) will be completed as Design-Build Maximum Price project(s). The project(s) will be designed by the successful Design-Build Team in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as the FDOT 2014 Design Standards and 2013 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction with latest modifications.

    The LCCSI Project is being funded by the United States Department of Transportation through a Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery V Grant (TIGER V Grant) which was recently awarded to the Lee County MPO. The successful CEI firm will be responsible for accurately reporting construction activities, progress and budget expenditures. The proposer shall make themselves familiar with the grant reporting requirements prior to submitting a Letter of Interest.

    Note: The Consultant shall be FDOT prequalified in the following work categories: Work Type 10.1 Roadway Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI), Work Type 10.4 Minor Bridge and Miscellaneous Structures CEI. The consultant shall also be prequalified, on its own or through Authority-approved sub-consultant(s), in the following work categories: Work Type 10.3 Construction Materials Inspection. Any firm not prequalified by the Department and desiring consideration for these projects must submit a complete Request for Qualification Application to co.profserv@dot.state.fl.us by the advertised Letter of Response Deadline Date and Time.

    Submittals must be delivered to the Lee MPO at the address below no later than 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, in order to be considered. All submittals must be in sealed envelopes reflecting on the outside thereof:
