    RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:

62-711.500Waste Tire Site Notification and Requirements

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection hereby gives notice: that on March 24, 2014, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection granted a petition filed by Argus Tires Corp on February 26, 2014, seeking a variance or waiver under Section 120.542, Florida Statutes, for its waste tire processing facility located at 3594 NW 55th Street, Miami, Florida. The Petitioner requested a waiver from paragraph 62-711.500(3)(a), Florida Administrative Code, which requires submittal of proof of financial assurance for closing a waste tire site at a waste tire processing facility as part of the permit application. The Petitioner demonstrated that due to the low estimated closure costs required for the facility the Petitioner will suffer a substantial and unnecessary hardship if it is required to provide financial assurance. Notice of receipt of the petition was published on the Florida Administrative Register on March 5, 2014. No comments were received.
