64B9-15.007Approval and Renewal of New Certified Nursing Assistant Training Programs
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 25, 2019, the Board of Nursing, received a petition for variance and waiver filed on behalf of Palm Harbor University High School (PHUHS) Center For Wellness and Medical Professions (CWMP) #1300, from subsection 64B9-15.007(3), F.A.C. The rule requires that each program must submit a renewal application every-two years to the Board within sixty (60) days prior to December 31 of each even numbered calendar year. If a program fails to timely file a renewal application, the Board shall rescind the approval. PHUHS renewal was submitted on January 23, 2019 and, although the application was submitted late, they are requesting a permanent waiver of the rule to be allowed to keep the license that was sent in error and remain a program for the duration of the license (2020) until it is time to renew again. Comments on this petition should be filed with the Board of Nursing, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin #C02, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3252, within 14 days of publication of this notice.
