64B9-15.007Approval and Renewal of New Certified Nursing Assistant Training Programs
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 25, 2019, the Board of Nursing, received a petition for variance and waiver filed by Nancy Redenius on behalf of Fort Myers Technical College (FMTC), from subsection 64B9-15.007(3), F.A.C., which requires that each program must submit a renewal application every-two years to the Board within sixty (60) days prior to December 31 of each even numbered calendar year. If a program fails to timely file a renewal application, the Board shall rescind the approval. FMTC is requesting a permanent waiver of the rule stating the work force need for hospitals and nursing home facilities have indicated the need for nursing assistants in their area. Comments on this petition should be filed with the Board of Nursing, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin #C02, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3252, within 14 days of publication of this notice.
