NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 2, 2015, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Emerald House. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, Section 3.10.4(u) and 4.4.4(e) and ASME A17.1, Section 321.2, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), F.A.C., that requires upgrading the elevators emergency stop switch, liquid level detector and top-of-car operating devices which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
