NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Finfrock DMC. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of section 716, Florida Building Code, Building, 6th Edition (2017) as it applies to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarification about whether an access panel for a fan coil unit, which would be installed in a wall acting as a fire partition, would be classified as a "smoke and draft control door" requiring rating pursuant to UL 1784.
