    In accordance with subsection 120.74(5), F.S., the Department extends the April 1 deadline to publish the Notice of Proposed Rule for Chapter 62-550, F.A.C. An initial Notice of Rule Development was published in the Florida Administrative Register on Dec. 21, 2020, Vol. 46/246, for Rules 62-550.200, 62-550.300, 62-550.315, 62-550.500, 62-550.512, 62-550.513, 62-550.515, 62-550.517, 62-550.518, 62-550.520, 62-550.521, 62-550.540, 62-550.817, 62-550.824 and 62-550.828, F.A.C., and a second Notice of Rule Development was published on June 9, 2023, Vol., 49/112, for Rules 62-550.305 and 62-550.821, F.A.C. The purpose of this rule development is to implement Chapter 2020-150, Laws of Florida. An initial Rule Development workshop was held on Jan. 14, 2021, and a second Rule Development workshop was held on June 2, 2021. Based on the public comments and recommendations of the Potable Reuse Commission’s 2020 report, the Department is establishing the new Chapter 62-565, F.A.C., to address the permitting requirements of the Advanced Treatment Water Facility. An initial Notice of Rule Development for the new Chapter 62-565, F.A.C., was published in the Florida Administrative Register on Jan. 30, 2023, Vol. 49/19, and updated on June 9, 2023, Vol. 49/112. The Department is continuing rule development in order to evaluate public comments received about the draft rule language and to consider any necessary changes based public input.
