NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 3, 2014, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for James Place Condominium. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, Section 3.11.3 and 3.10.4(u) as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations and emergency stop switch which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
