14-10.004Outdoor Advertising Permit Applications, Criteria, and Permit Issuance

The Florida Department of Transportation hereby gives notice: that on March 5, 2020, the Department entered an Order Granting Petition for Variance from paragraph 14-10.004(7)(d), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). On January 21, 2020, Carter-Pritchett Advertising, Inc., filed a request for a variance from paragraph 14-10.004(7)(d), F.A.C., which directs that no sign permit shall be issued for a sign to be located outside the boundaries of an incorporated municipality and within 500 feet of an interchange, intersection at grade, or rest area on the interstate. The Department granted the variance because Carter-Pritchett has satisfied the requirements for a variance under Section 120.542, Florida Statutes.
