The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: Crossroads Baptist Church, 6129 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida, 33812.
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation invites you to a public information meeting about upcoming roadway improvements to US 98 from north of CR 540A to SR 540 (Winter Lake Road). The meeting is an open house format, with no formal presentation. Project staff will be available to discuss project details and answer questions. The contractor is The Lane Construction Corporation. Crews will make these improvements: mill (remove old asphalt) and resurface the existing roadway, expand the roadway from four to six lanes, replace the bridges over Banana Creek, improve Fort Fraser Trail, install new drainage, build curb and gutters, construct new sidewalks, add landscaping and install street lighting.
