    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 24, 2016, the Department of Environmental Protection received a petition for treated biomedical waste generated from the TFD-1000 process to be used as a fuel in cement kilns from ATS Americas LLC. The petition requested a variance or waiver from paragraph 62-701.520(5)(d), F.A.C., which states that treated biomedical waste shall be disposed of only at permitted Class I landfills or incinerators used to combust solid waste. The activity is located at 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, Florida. The petition has been assigned OGC File No. 16-0085.
