The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on October 19, 2018, Paul Wells. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 44, No. 207, of the October 23, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver of paragraph 64B7-32.002(2)(d), F.A.C., regarding official transcripts. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on December 12, 2018, by telephone conference call. The Board’s Order, filed on March 15, 2019, shows that the purpose of the underlying statute is being achieved by other means and has demonstrated compliance with the rule would pose a substantial hardship on Petitioner. The Board finds that the petition for variance or waiver should be granted and accepts the Petitioner’s education records as equivalent to or more stringent to those requirements in the State of Florida.
