The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on December 14, 2018, by Stephanie DiSalvatore. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 45, No. 02, of the January 1, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver of paragraph 480.041(5)(c), F.S., regarding licensure by endorsement. Petitioner would like to have her license transferred without additional hours of schooling and testing. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on January 28 and 29, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on March 14, 2019, denied the petition stating that Petitioner has not shown that the purpose of the underlying statute will be or has been achieved by other means and that application of the rule would create a substantial hardship or would violate principles of fairness.
