NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Office of Financial Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from Stubenefits, LLC. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 560, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.
Withdrawal of Petition. On 1/28/2019, the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (Consumer Finance) received a Petition for Declaratory Statement from Stubenefits, LLC. The original petition sought a declaratory statement from the Office on whether its proposed business model (receiving regular after-tax cash distributions from employers and utilizing said distributions to pay down individual student loan accounts via ACH, Payment API, Paper Check or other valid financial instruments, per a defined benefit plan”), falls under the Florida Money Transmitter Statute, Chapter 560, Florida Statutes. ***** On 4/10/2019 the Petition was WITHDRAWN.
