GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The proposed demonstration RFA will provide forgivable loans of up to $750,000 to finance small rental housing developments of no more than 10 units to serve as permanent housing to extremely low and low income homeless households. Proposed allowable developments shall consist of single family, townhomes, duplexes or quadraplexes on a single site or scattered through the community.
The April 26 workshop will provide participants an opportunity to hear and provide comments on Florida Housing’s proposed demonstration RFA approach and terms. In addition, Florida Housing staff will answer questions about the RFA process and timeline, funding priorities and requirements, applicant eligibility, funding selection criteria, forgivable loan terms, and the approach to help build selected non-profits’ capacity in regards to developing and operating permanent rental housing.
