The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: April 20, 2016, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

PLACE: The public meeting will take place at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Welcome Center at the Vigilante meeting room. The address is 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida. The Sanford Airport Authority will be validating parking tickets for everyone attending the meeting on April 20, 2016. Please bring your ticket with you to the meeting.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Improvements to SR 46 involve the addition of travel lanes to provide a four-lane roadway. The proposed four-lane curb and gutter roadway will include two 11-foot travel lanes and one 6-foot bicycle lane in each direction, separated by a 22-foot grassed median. Also included in the project is a 5-foot sidewalk along the south side and an 8-foot sidewalk along the north side of SR 46.

The meeting will be an open house format to allow interested parties to review design information for the project. Maps, drawings, and other pertinent information for this project will be on display at the meeting. Project representatives will be available to discuss the future improvements and answer your questions. FDOT encourages your participation and welcomes your comments on this improvement project.
