NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Robert W. Moody, COO of URETEK Holdings, Inc. on December 26, 2012. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:
The petition was granted, and the Florida Building Commission determined that Section R318.5, Florida Building Code, Residential (2010) does not apply to the installation of a rigid structural geotechnical polymer into the ground as a soil stabilization technique but does fall within the technical scope of the Florida Building Code, Existing Building (2010).
