  • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 22, 2010, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety has issued an order.
    That order granted a variance to William Snyder, Redington Reef Condo, Redington Beach, FL, to not comply with, Rule 3.11.3 (firefighter service), 2.7.4 (door restrictors), 2.2.3 (lighting), 2.4.1 (horizontal car clearance) and 3.10.4(t) (in-car stop switch), ASME A17.3, 1996 edition and Rule 101.3(a) (access to machine room and machinery spaces), 106.1(e) (illumination of pits) and 110.14(c) (illumination of landing sills), ASME A17.1, 1960 edition until April 1, 2012. The Department’s decision was made to relieve the Petitioner’s hardship due to the cost and complexity of this upgrade. The request for variance was published in the 3/26/10 edition of the F.A.W. Vol. 36, No. 12 (VW 2010-133).
