PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Board proposes the rule amendment to remove the $50 preceptor application fee and to update the statutory authority.

SUMMARY: The rule amendment will remove the $50 preceptor application fee and update statutory authority.

SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS AND LEGISLATIVE RATIFICATION:

The Agency has determined that this will not have an adverse impact on small business or likely increase directly or indirectly regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate within one year after the implementation of the rule. A SERC has not been prepared by the Agency.

The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: The agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: Because the change is to eliminate a fee, the rule amendments will not result in additional costs being incurred. 64B10-12.012 Preceptor Certification.

(1) The preceptor initial certification fee shall be $100.00 and shall be remitted at the time of application for initial certification, to be included with the initial application fee contained in Rule 64B10-12.002, F.A.C.

(2) No change.
