    CDBG-Disaster Recovery 2018 Draft Action Plan

    NOTICE OF STATE OF FLORIDA 2018 ACTION PLAN FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT DISASTER RECOVERY (CDBG-DR) PROGRAM

    The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allocated $615,922,000 in CDBG-DR funds to the state for recovery in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) declared counties and zip codes impacted by Disaster Declaration 4337 (Hurricane Irma).  The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is the lead agency and responsible entity for administering the funds.

    The rules for grant management applying to the funds were published in the Federal Register, Vol. 83, No. 28/Friday, February 9, 2018.  As required by the Federal Register an Action Plan that primarily addresses unmet housing needs must be submitted by DEO to HUD for approval.

    On April 20, 2018, a copy of the “draft” Action Plan will be posted on the DEO’s website at:

    The required 14-day comment period will commence on Friday, April 20, 2018, and will conclude on Friday, May 4, 2018.

    DEO will submit the final Action Plan to HUD no later than Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  DEO will accept comments or questions about the draft Action Plan until Friday, May 4, 2018.
