    AMENDED – NOTICE TO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FIRMS OFFICE OF FACILITIES DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION – Request for Qualifications (RFQ)-OFDC-RFQ-004-11 – Construction Management Services Date of Publication – April 8, 2011. The Office of Facilities Design and Construction announces that Construction Management services are required for the following project:

    PROJECT NUMBER/TITLE: Magnet School Upgrades at John E. Ford K-8 No. 154, 1137 Cleveland Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209, DCSB Project No. C-91470/OFDC-RFQ-004-11.

    RFQ RESPONSES ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE MAY 10, 2011 AND WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 4:30 p.m.

    SCOPE OF WORK: The project at John E. Ford K-8 is for a new cafeteria addition, new locker rooms and renovation for a new clinic. The estimated construction budget is “Budgeted Not to Exceed” $1,600,000. The selected Construction Manager’s services will include preconstruction services including value engineering, constructability analysis, development of a cost model, and estimating and development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price at the applicable Construction Document phase. Selection of firms will be made on the basis of construction manager qualifications in accordance with the criteria outlined in the DCPS manual for the Selection of the Construction Manager. The Construction Manager must have previous experience with projects of similar size and scope with emphasis on active campus construction projects.     This project is funded using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2010 Funds and is subject to availability of funds. The selected contractor shall be required to execute the Duval County School Board standard form of agreement and all contractor(s) and subcontractor(s) shall be required to comply with all required Federal provisions related to ARRA funding, including Davis Bacon Wage and associated Acts.

    All firms submitting proposals shall be required to be pre-qualified with Duval County Public Schools prior to the RFQ due date. Firms who are not approved as a pre-qualified bidder will not be considered for award.
