NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Public Employees Relations Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Broward County Sheriffs Office, Case No.: DS-2010-001, Filed on April 7, 2010.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section 120.565 and Chapter 447, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.
Whether the Sheriff of Broward County is the appropriate authority to act as the legislative body to resolve issues at impasse in collective bargaining in negotiations involving Broward Sheriffs Office employees who are subcontracted to the Sheriff by the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County.
