Division of Historical Resources
The Department of State has established an application submission cycle and will accept grant applications for the Special Category Grant Program Fiscal Year 2016-2017 as follows:
APPLICATION SUBMISSION CYCLE: May 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015.
Applications must be submitted on-line by 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2015.
The on-line application is available at http://dos.myflorida.com/historical/grants/. Application attachments must be delivered to the Bureau of Historic Preservation, R.A. Gray Building, 500 South Bronough Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399 no later than 5:00 p.m., June 30, 2015, be clearly postmarked on or before June 30, 2015, show evidence of submission to an express mail service on or before June 30, 2015, or be uploaded to the Division of Historical Resources Dropbox no later than 5:00 p.m., June 30, 2015.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: All departments or agencies of the State of Florida (including State Universities); units of county, municipal or other local governments; or non-profit organizations.
NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS: An applicant from the same organization shall submit no more than one (1) application under a single application deadline.
AWARD AMOUNT: The maximum grant request may not exceed $500,000.00. The minimum grant request amount is $50,000. Funding availability will depend upon legislative appropriation during the 2016 Legislative Session.
