GAINESVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT

COMMERCIAL TERMINAL EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE III

PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGES

The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the “Commercial Terminal Expansion and Improvements - Phase III Passenger Boarding Bridges” project. The work shall include the procurement and installation of two new passenger boarding bridges and the refurbishment of select items on the existing three passenger boarding bridges.

Complete sets of bid documents will be available beginning Wednesday April 29, 2020 at the office of: AECOM, 7650 W. Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa, Florida 33607, 1(813)286-1711, Attn: Diane Kline, [e-mail].

No fee will be required to obtain a set of the bid documents. Printed copies of documents will not be made available. Only PDF project plans and specification files, either on CD or sent via File Transfer will be made available.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, 10:00 a.m. via a teleconference.   The teleconference call-in number is 1(877)286-5733. The Conference ID is 222 079 529. Attendance by all prospective bidders is recommended.  The meeting can also be attended via computer screenshare – contact Bill Prange at [e-mail] to receive an invitation to the screenshare.

Site visits may be arranged after the pre-bid meeting if requested by potential bidders.  For reference the location of the Airport is: Gainesville Regional Airport, Passenger Terminal, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609. Contact Bill Prange at [e-mail].

Bids must be signed by an authorized official, enclosed in a sealed envelope or package clearly marked: "Project No. 20-002 Commercial Terminal Expansion and Improvements - Phase III Passenger Boarding Bridges” and mailed or delivered to the Authority's Administrative Office, Gainesville Regional Airport, Attn: Chief Executive Officer, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Suite A, Gainesville, Florida 32609.

Bids are due at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Due to COVID-19 bids will NOT be publicly opened. Results will be made available to any interested party by contacting [e-mail].  The official clock is located in the Authority's Administrative Office. Bids received after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27 will not be considered.  The Authority’s Administrative offices may be closed to the general public due to COVID-19 but mail and overnight deliveries are being accepted. Bidders are responsible to make sure their bid is received at the Airport on time.

The DBE Goal for this project is 10%. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in response to this Request for Bids as determined to be in the best interest of the Authority.
