    RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:

    61J2-3.011Continuing Education for School Instructors

The Florida Real Estate Commission hereby gives notice:

that on April 19, 2018, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Waiver. The Petition for Variance or Waiver was filed by Teneshia Taylor, on February 1, 2018, seeking a variance or waiver of Rule 61J2-3.011, F.A.C., of the 7 hours of recertification education for instructor license. The Notice was published in Volume 44, No. 30, of the Florida Administrative Register, on February 13, 2018.

The Commission considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on March 21, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. At its meeting, the Commission denied the Petition finding that Petitioner did not timely complete 7 hours of education prior to September 30, 2017. Petitioner’s instructor license became inactive for not completing this required by September 30, 2017. In addition, Petitioner has not demonstrated that application of the rule has created a substantial hardship or that the rule affects her substantially different from other persons subject to the rule.
