The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety hereby gives notice: On April 22, 2024, the Department received a request withdrawing the Petition for variance from Bentley Village PH 6, filed March 21, 2024, and advertised on March 26, 2024, in Vol. 50 No. 60 of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition for variance requested a variance from Rule 2.7.3.1.1, ASME A17.1, 2016 edition and Section 3005.1 Florida Building Code, as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001 Florida Administrative Code that requires a permanent and unobstructed means of access shall be provided to machine and control rooms, machinery and control spaces outside the hoistway, machinery and control spaces inside the hoistway that do not have a means of access to the space and an approved means of access shall be provided to elevator machine rooms, control rooms, control spaces and machinery spaces. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety is taking no further action on the petition (VW2024-049).
