The Board of Accountancy hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order Accepting Withdrawal of Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on January 4, 2024, by Karina Keyser. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 50, No. 12, of the January 18, 2024, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver or variance of paragraph 61H1-27.002(2)(a), F.A.C., which required: (a) 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in accounting education at the upper division level which shall include coverage of auditing, cost and managerial accounting or accounting data analytics, financial accounting, and taxation. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on March 22, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

The Board’s Order, filed on April 23, 2024, accepted the Petitioner’s request for withdrawal of variance or waiver of the rule.
