NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on April 24, 2020, the Board of Medicine issued a Final Order on the petition for declaratory statement by Martin Neal Zaiac, M.D., on July 12, 2019. The Notice of the Petition was published in Volume 45, No. 137, of the July 16, 2019, issue of the Florida Administrative Register. The Board reviewed the Petition at its meetings held on October 4, 2019 and February 7, 2020. The Board’s Final Order finds that based upon the facts set forth in the petition, Dr. Zaiac may supervise only one office other than his primary place of practice consistent with Sections 458.347, and 458.348, Florida Statutes. Additionally, the Board finds that laser tattoo removal and laser skin rejuvenation are the practice of medicine; however, the Board recognizes that other healthcare practitioners may have authority to perform such services and that it does not have jurisdiction or authority to decide whether others can perform such services under their practice acts.
