GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To receive public comments on draft nutrient total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) for impaired waters in the Kissimmee River Basin, to be adopted in Rule 62-304.515, F.A.C. The draft TMDLs to be presented at the public workshop are for Lake Marion (WBID 1480), Lake Pierce (1532A), and Lake Wales (1619A). These nutrient TMDLs, if adopted, will constitute site-specific numeric interpretations of the narrative nutrient criterion set forth in paragraph 62-302.530(48)(b), F.A.C., that would replace the otherwise applicable numeric nutrient criteria in subsection 62-302.531(2) for these particular waters. The draft TMDL document for these impaired waters is available on the Department’s TMDL website: https://floridadep.gov/dear/water-quality-evaluation-tmdl/content/draft-tmdls, and will be provided upon request to interested parties by mail or via email distribution. The Department will accept written comments on the draft TMDLs, as well as the establishment of these nutrient TMDLs as site-specific interpretations of the narrative nutrient criterion, through June 3, 2020. Written comments should be directed to: Ansel Bubel, Environmental Administrator, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, MS 3555, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2400, Ansel.Bubel@dep.state.fl.us.
