NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from Sandy Robinson and Paul T. Myers. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 468, Florida Statutes as it applies to the petitioner.
The petition seeks the Board’s interpretation of Section 468, Florida Statutes, and whether a building official, within his or her jurisdiction, may perform any plan review or inspection even if he or she only holds a standard license as a building code administrator issued by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The Board will address this petition at its next meeting which will be held on June 8-10, 2011 in Orlando, FL.
