GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation has initiated the Polk Rail Study to identify the best solutions for regional freight movement through Polk County while minimizing community and environmental impacts. The Freight and Stakeholders Taskforce and Mayors Council meetings are an important element in the process of seeking input from interested stakeholders. These meetings will have an interactive discussion and review the long and short term improvements from the previous FAST and Mayors Council meetings, stakeholder meetings, and the first round of public meetings.
