NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 28, 2014, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, received a petition for a temporary waiver of paragraph 11B-27.002 (1)(h), F.A.C., by Connie Dillard. The rule requires recruits to successfully pass basic recruit training and the State Officer Certification Examination prior to becoming employed. Petitioner’s employer terminated her Temporary Employment Authorization prior to her becoming certified. Petitioner seeks a waiver of this rule so that she may seek another TEA at another facility and, thereby, remain employed while she fulfils the requirements of Section 943.13, F.S., to become certified.
