The Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. announces a telephone conference call to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Monday, April 20, 2009, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
PLACE: Florida Department of Law Enforcement, 2331 Phillips Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. As a part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments by calling: 1(877)430-2532. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. TELEPHONE COMMENTS: Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
