    64E-3.0034Specialty Technologists

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: Rules 64E-3.002 and.0034, F.A.C., are being amended to include the current practice standards for radiologic technologists, issued last year by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the national society for the profession. Rule 64E-3.0034, F.A.C., is also being amended to approve and recognize the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board’s (NMTCB) new Computed Tomography (CT) certification as one that can be used to obtain CT certification by endorsement in Florida, and to clarify the criteria required for proof of certification. These amendments are in support of recommendations from the state Advisory Council on Radiation Protection.
