    The South Florida Water Management District announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, April 14, 2016, 9:00 a.m.

    PLACE: SFWMD Headquarters, B-1 Building, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406

    All or part of this meeting may be conducted as a teleconference in order to permit maximum participation by Governing Board members. The Governing Board may take official action on any item appearing on the agenda for the meeting and on any item that is added to the agenda for the meeting as a result of a change to the agenda approved by the presiding officer of the meeting pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Regular Governing Board Business Meeting. The Governing Board will discuss and consider District business, including regulatory and non-regulatory matters; and Governing Board to consider a budget amendment to the District’s Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget in the amount of $800,000 to Increase the Upland Invasive Plant Control Special Revenue Fund by $800,000 from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for additional treatments of Invasive Exotic Vegetation in support of Land Management Activities.

    The proposed budget amendment is contingent upon approval by the Executive Office of the Governor and would increase the South Florida Water Management District’s amended budget by $800,000 due to the proposal of funding from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
