    New Viera Area Elementary School for Brevard Public Schools

    PROJECT: New Viera Area Elementary School for Brevard Public Schools

     Wharton-Smith is proudly the Construction Manager serving the School Board of Brevard County for construction of the upcoming New Viera Elementary School Project.  The project will consist of approximately 124,400 SF and a 5,700 SF stand-alone covered play structure with PE Offices, storage, and restrooms. The new campus will include a stand-alone central energy plant. The design is based on the prototype elementary school by Architects RZK, Inc., consisting of concrete slabs and tilt walls, CMU, pre-engineered metal building structure and roof panels, casework, hollow metal and wood doors and aluminum windows and storefront, drywall partitions, acoustical ceilings, carpeting, vinyl and tile flooring, painting, fire sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC and electrical. The project will also include all site improvements for vehicle and pedestrian circulation, parking, storm water management, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, utilities, lighting, fencing, and other civil infrastructure to support the school. 

     A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for April 10, 2019, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Melbourne Viera Town Center (2400 Town Center Ave., Melbourne, FL 32940).
