    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Construction Industry Licensing Board has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by James R. Johannessen on February 6, 2015. The following is a summary of the agencys disposition of the petition:

    The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 41, No. 33, of the February 18, 2015, Florida Administrative Register. The petition seeks a declaratory statement Sections 489.105 and 489.103, Florida Statutes, as to whether a contract or electrical or low-voltage work can be awarded to a general contractor, provided the general contractor subcontract the work to an appropriately licensed electrical or low-voltage subcontractor. The Board’s Order, filed on March 30, 2015, issues a declaratory statement that a contract for electrical or low-voltage work can be awarded to a general contractor, provided he subcontracts the electrical work to an appropriately licensed electrical or low-voltage subcontractor.
