    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from Global Liberty Insurance Company of New York, filed on April 4, 2018.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of certain provisions contained in Section 627.733(1)(a), Florida Statutes, as it pertains to the Petitioner. as it applies to the petitioner.

    The Petitioner is licensed as a foreign property and casualty insurer, which provides Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) coverage as a mandatory endorsement for paratransit vehicles. Petitioner is requesting a declaratory statement as to whether a paratransit vehicle must have PIP coverage under Section 627.733(1)(a), Florida Statutes, or whether PIP coverage may be omitted for paratransit vehicles under Sections 627.733(1)(b) and 324.032(1)(a), Florida Statutes.
